US GoM Floating Fleet Report – 8th December 2022

  • Noble Faye Kozack moved to the Gunflint field on MC948
  • Deepwater Proteus joined Deepwater Thalassa on PowerNap and is due to spud the PN004 well
  • Deepwater Titan due to a Start 5-year contract with Chevron in Q1-2023. Rig currently in Singapore at Sembcorp yard
  • Noble Globetrotter-I leaving for Mexico in Dec-2022 for a ~90-day fixture with Petronas
  • Average fixture rate for Q4 ~US$425/day

US GoM Floating Fleet Report – 24th November 2022

The OffshoreLinks US Gulf of Mexico rig count remained steady over the last seven days. Of the total regional fleet, 20 rigs are under contract whilst two are available and a further two are stacked.

  • Deepwater Titan due to a Start 5-year contract with Chevron in Q1-2023. Rig currently in Singapore at Sembcorp yard
  • Noble Globetrotter-I leaving for Mexico in Dec-2022 for a ~90-day fixture with PETRONAS
  • Average fixture rate for Q4 ~US$425/day

We will continue to build-up the historic rig counts each week so check back next Thursday for an update.

US GoM Floating Fleet Report – 17th November 2022

This is the fourth instalment of the US Gulf of Mexico floating rig list. The rig count dropped by one over the last week. Of the total regional fleet, 20 rigs are under contract whilst two are available and a further two are stacked.

  • Deepwater Titan due to a Start 5-year contract with Chevron in Q1-2023. Rig currently in Singapore at Sembcorp yard
  • Noble Globetrotter-I leaving for Mexico in Dec-2022 for a ~90-day fixture with Petronas
  • VALARIS DPS-5 has left for Mexico to drill the Tulum 1-EXP exploration well for Murphy
  • Deepwater Conqueror has moved to the Anchor field for production drilling with Chevron
  • Average fixture rate for Q4 ~US$425/day

US GoM Floating Fleet Report – 10 Nov 2022

This is our third instalment of the US Gulf of Mexico floating rig list. The rig count has held steady over the last week. Of the total regional fleet, 21 rigs are under contract whilst two are available and a further two are stacked.

  • Noble Corporation‘s Noble Globetrotter-1 is expected to head to Mexico in December for a ~90-day contract with PETRONAS
  • Transocean‘s Deepwater Titan is scheduled to start its five-year contract with Chevron in Q1 next year
  • Valaris Limited‘s Valaris DPS-5 semisub is expected to begin mobilization to Mexico to drill the Tulum-1EXP exploration well for Murphy Oil Corporation
  • Average fixture rate for Q4 ~US$425/day

US GoM Floating Fleet Report – 4 Nov 2022

Following on from our first report last Friday, we have updated our US Gulf of Mexico floating rig list. The rig count has held steady over the last week. 21 of the total fleet are currently under contract whilst two are available and a further two are stacked. Noble Corporation‘s Noble Globetrotter-1 is expected to head to Mexico in December for a ~90-day contract with PETRONAS. Meanwhile, the Deepwater Titan is scheduled to start its five-year contract with Chevron in Q1 next year.

We will continue to build-up the historic rig counts each week so check back next Friday to see how the market has changed.

US GoM Floating Fleet Report – 28 Oct 2022

Transocean has announced that the Deepwater Atlas, the world’s first 8th Generation drillship, has started its contract with Beacon Offshore Energy in the US Gulf of Mexico. The rig is currently drilling ahead on Shenandoah, Walker Ridge 51.

The Deepwater Atlas joins a US GoM fleet of 24 other drillships and semisubs, 22 of which are currently working or have near term commitments.

We’ve provided a US Gulf of Mexico fleet status report below. This will be updated weekly so please come back for further updates. The list includes all floating rigs currently located in the US Gulf of Mexico.
